Officers on the Permanent or Temporáry

Establishment of the Coleny whose annual salary does not exceed $240 and who have not qualified by 25 years' service for the compassionate allowance which may be granted under clause 1, paragraph 2 (of the Pension Minute) may be granted a compassion- -ate gratuity in cases of continuously faithful service. Such gratuity shall not exceed in the case of an Officer on the Per- -manent Establishment two-thirds and in the case of an Officer

on the Temporary Establishment one-half of the rate of pension grantable under clause 1, paragraph 1, (of the Pension Hinute)

corruted for service between 10 and 15 years for a sum equal to 2 years' payment, for service between 15 and 20 years for a sum equal to 3 years' payment, and for service between 20 and 25 years for a sum equal to 4 years' payment of such gratuity.
